Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Accountant will perform a range of vital accounting and financial tasks to ensure the accurate and efficient operation of the company's financial processes. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing day-to-day accounting entries, including data, expenses, and revenue posting.
• Preparing and recording journal entries and maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger.
• Assisting in periodic account closing procedures (monthly/quarterly/annually).

• Reconciling bank statements on a regular basis.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven work experience of at least 3 years in an accounting role. Experience in the retail, interior design, or construction sector is a distinct advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Excellent proficiency in computer applications and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Hands-on experience with accounting/enterprise resource planning (ERP) software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage in the Dubai job market.
