Job Overview

The Accounts Payable Accountant will be a fundamental part of the company's finance department. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Performing periodic reconciliations of supplier statements and ensuring they are error-free.

• Assisting in month-end closing procedures and preparing relevant financial reports.
• Maintaining supplier files and updating their information accurately.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A recognized professional accounting certification (e.g., CMA, CPA, or equivalent) will be a strong added advantage.

Professional Experience:

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
• Previous experience working for companies in the Gulf region, particularly in the UAE, is a significant advantage.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Technical & Personal Skills:

• Excellent proficiency in using accounting/finance software packages (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• High organizational skills and the ability to prioritize to manage multiple workloads.
• Meticulous accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Integrity and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with complete confidentiality.
• The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
