Wilhelmsen Ships Service is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of AOG Desk Coordinator in Manama, Bahrain. This role is critical in the aviation and maritime logistics sector, focusing on the urgent coordination and delivery of aircraft parts for grounded planes (AOG - Aircraft on Ground).
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate urgent shipments of aircraft spare parts (AOG) to and from various destinations.
- Monitor order status and ensure inventory availability.
- Communicate with suppliers, airlines, and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and update shipping records and daily reports.
- Resolve urgent logistical issues effectively and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain management (aviation experience is a plus).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer systems and inventory management software.
- Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
