Job Description
The Associate Inventory Controller will be placed at the core of talabat's logistics operations. The role will be responsible for assisting in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management, directly supporting the platform's ability to fulfill customer orders promptly. This position works closely with warehouse, procurement, and operations teams to optimize the flow of goods.
Key Expected Responsibilities:
- Daily Inventory Monitoring: Assist in monitoring stock levels of materials and goods within the warehouse.
- Recording & Reconciliation: Ensure all inventory movements (in/out/transfers) are accurately recorded in company systems and reconcile records with physical stock.
- Conducting Periodic Counts: Participate in regular stock-taking activities (full or cycle counts) to verify inventory record accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a liaison between the warehouse team and procurement/operations teams to track product availability and address any shortages.
- Reporting: Assist in generating reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and any losses or damages.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure all established company inventory management procedures and guidelines are followed.
- Improvement Support: Contribute to suggesting improvements to inventory processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

- Experience: Previous experience (typically 1-2 years) in a similar role such as Inventory Assistant, Warehouse Clerk, or in inventory/logistics management. Experience in a fast-paced environment like e-commerce or retail is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems or specialized inventory management software is a plus.
