Job Description

BARAKAT VEGETABLES & FRUITS CO. L.L.C is seeking a qualified Associate Manager Quality to join their team in Dubai, UAE. As a leading company in the import and distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables in the region, BARAKAT maintains the highest standards of quality and food safety.

The successful candidate will work within the quality team to ensure that all incoming and outgoing products meet the company's strict quality and safety standards, from supplier receipt through to customer distribution. Responsibilities include overseeing inspection and internal audit processes, preparing quality reports, and coordinating with other departments to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with international standards such as ISO 22000 and HACCP.
• Conduct regular internal audits of receiving, storage, and distribution operations.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and propose corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure shipments meet required specifications.
• Manage customer complaints related to quality and work towards effective resolution.
• Train staff on quality and food safety best practices.
• Prepare periodic quality performance reports for senior management.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the fresh produce or food retail sector.
• Certifications: Professional certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 or ISO 22000) is a strong advantage.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English (spoken and written). Arabic is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic quality management systems.
• Soft Skills: Ability to work under pressure, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and team spirit.
