Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The appointed Business Development Manager will hold a strategic position responsible for leading expansion and profitability efforts. Core responsibilities will include:
- Developing and Implementing Business Strategies: Leading the creation and execution of comprehensive business development plans aligned with Polyglot Technologies' long-term strategic goals.
- Identifying New Market Opportunities: Conducting in-depth market research to identify new opportunities, emerging sectors, and technological trends the company can leverage.
- Building and Nurturing Relationships: Generating and pursuing a strong pipeline of leads, building robust relationships with new and existing clients, and negotiating contracts and strategic partnerships to enhance the company's footprint.
- Leading Sales Initiatives: Overseeing the entire sales cycle, from product/service pitching to closing deals, while ensuring revenue and sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting: Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) for business performance, and preparing regular reports for senior management on progress, challenges, and recommendations.
- Collaborating with Internal Teams: Working closely with marketing, development, and service delivery teams to ensure business strategies are aligned with operational capabilities and customer expectations.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this leadership opportunity, you should meet the following criteria:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of demonstrated experience in business development or strategic sales, preferably within the technology, software, or digital services sector.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the technology market in Oman and the wider GCC region. An existing professional network is a significant advantage.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate teams, and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English, with strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
