Job Description

The SCPP Instructor will be responsible for teaching core and advanced courses in the Computer Science pathway of the undergraduate program. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality instruction in accordance with CMU's approved curriculum.
• Developing and updating course materials to reflect the latest industry trends and academic standards.
• Providing academic advising and mentoring to students on their projects and research.
• Participating in departmental academic and administrative activities.
• Collaborating with fellow faculty members to enhance the educational programs.

Required Qualifications

• A Master's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a closely related field (PhD preferred).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of university-level teaching experience.
• Excellent command of English (the primary language of instruction).
• Strong knowledge of core Computer Science concepts: algorithms, data structures, programming, databases, and networking.
• Proficiency in using modern educational technologies and learning management systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural setting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience teaching courses such as Object-Oriented Programming, Artificial Intelligence, or Cybersecurity.
• A record of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals or conferences.
