- Audit & Compliance: Ensure all financial operations comply with Qatari laws, regulations, and internal company policies. Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flows, forecast cash requirements, and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
- System Development: Contribute to improving and developing accounting systems, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
- Managerial Collaboration: Work closely with senior management and other company departments to provide necessary financial support and analysis for strategic decision-making.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are a significant advantage and often a core requirement.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with proven experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a similar leadership role (Chief Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager) within a large corporation or holding group.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and accounting practices. Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Personal Skills: Leadership abilities with experience in team management and motivation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Arabic and English).
