Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The selected engineer will be primarily responsible for the field supervision of construction and installation operations, ensuring full compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. Key responsibilities include:

• Daily Supervision: Direct and continuous supervision of all engineering activities on the project site, encompassing civil works (such as structural work, surveying, concrete works) and electrical works (such as wiring, panels, and systems).
• Planning and Coordination: Participating in the planning of daily and weekly work schedules, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely flow of materials and equipment to the site.
• Quality and Safety Control: Ensuring all works are executed according to approved engineering drawings and standard specifications. Also responsible for enforcing strict site safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents.
• Problem-Solving: Identifying any technical problems or challenges that may arise during execution and working to find practical and swift solutions in collaboration with the design team and other engineers.
• Documentation and Reporting: Preparing daily and weekly progress reports, logging any deviations from the plan, and participating in site meetings with management and client representatives.
• Compliance: Ensuring all works comply with applicable local laws and regulations in Qatar, including municipality and civil defense requirements.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in a similar role (Site Engineer) within construction projects. Tangible experience in both fields (civil and electrical) is a significant competitive advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction phases, the ability to read structural, architectural, and MEP drawings, and a thorough understanding of quality and safety standards (e.g., ISO standards).
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Arabic and English), leadership ability, capacity to work under pressure, and a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to work.
• Additional Requirements: Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working on projects in Qatar or the GCC region, and knowledge of Qatari building regulations.
