Cloud Security Engineer / Analyst in Doha, Qatar

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting, maintaining, and developing security protocols for the company's cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and implement security controls and strategies for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Monitor cloud infrastructure to detect security vulnerabilities, threats, and respond to incidents proactively.
• Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing of cloud systems.
• Develop and deploy automation tools to enhance the efficiency of security operations and monitoring.
• Ensure cloud environment compliance with local and international regulatory standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Investigate security incidents and develop response and recovery plans.
• Work closely with software development and operations teams (DevSecOps) to integrate security principles into the development lifecycle.
• Prepare detailed security status reports and present recommendations to management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in cloud security or information security in general.
• In-depth knowledge of major cloud service platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their native security services.
• Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and cryptography concepts.
• Experience with cloud security tools and Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) will be a significant advantage.
• Recognized professional certifications such as (CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are a strong plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex issues.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficiency in English for work and communication; knowledge of Arabic will be beneficial.
