About the Opportunity

Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) is currently seeking a highly qualified Contracts & Procurement Senior Manager to join their team in Muscat, Oman. As one of the leading oil and gas companies in the Gulf region, PDO offers a professional work environment with excellent career growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Manager for Contracts and Procurement, the selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all procurement and contract management operations
  • Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies
  • Managing a team of contracts and procurement specialists
  • Negotiating with suppliers and contractors to secure optimal commercial terms
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and local regulations
  • Analyzing market data and providing strategic recommendations to senior management
  • Managing contract and procurement-related risks

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 12-15 years in contracts and procurement, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
  • Skills: Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken), advanced negotiation skills, knowledge of global procurement systems
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as CIPS or PMP are highly desirable
