Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Structural Design Engineer will be integrated into the company's design and technical consultancy team, responsible for critical technical aspects of real estate developments. The core responsibilities associated with this position include:

• Design & Analysis: Preparing and developing detailed structural designs for residential and commercial building projects, ensuring full compliance with local and international specifications and engineering best practices.
• Drawing & Calculation Preparation: Producing accurate structural drawings and plans using the latest Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and specialized structural analysis programs.
• Design Review: Reviewing and evaluating design proposals from a structural perspective to ensure quality, safety, and material efficiency.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Working closely with engineers from other disciplines (architectural, MEP) as well as project managers and contractors to ensure seamless integration of the structural design with all project facets.
• Report Preparation: Compiling technical reports, specifications, and studies related to structural design.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensuring all designs meet the highest standards of structural safety and durability, adhering to the building regulations in force in the Emirate of Ajman and the UAE.
• Technical Support: Providing technical support during on-site construction phases and resolving any structural issues that may arise.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. A Master's degree is a distinct advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in structural design, with preference given to experience in residential and commercial real estate projects within the Gulf region or Middle East.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit Structure, and structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, or STAAD.Pro).
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of international building codes (e.g., ACI, IBC) and local UAE building regulations.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail and accuracy, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Language: Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic is a beneficial advantage.
