Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving commercial and sales activities for specialized electrical products and solutions targeted at the downstream sector, which typically includes refining, processing, and distribution operations within the oil & gas industry and related manufacturing sectors. Core responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing effective sales strategies to increase market share for electrical products (e.g., equipment, control systems, integrated solutions) in the downstream sector.
• Identifying new business opportunities and building & managing strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients, including national oil companies, contractors, and engineering consultants.
• Conducting regular field visits to clients to gain a deep understanding of their technical and operational needs and proposing suitable engineering solutions.
• Preparing comprehensive and detailed technical and commercial proposals, including technical specifications, timelines, and competitive pricing.
• Working closely with internal engineering and technical support teams to ensure customer requirements are met and providing necessary after-sales support.
• Monitoring market trends and competitors within Kuwait's and the Gulf's electrical downstream sector and providing periodic reports to management.
• Participating in trade exhibitions and industry events to promote the company's products and services.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in technical or engineering sales, with a strong and proven focus on selling electrical equipment/solutions to the industrial sector, preferably specifically within the Oil & Gas Downstream sector or heavy industries.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of medium/high voltage electrical products, distribution systems, control equipment, and relevant electrical safety standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) adopted in the industrial sector.
• Personal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion abilities. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining teamwork.
• Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is a strong advantage for dealing with the local market.
• Other Requirements: The applicant must possess a valid residency permit in Kuwait (transferable sponsorship) or be ready for immediate relocation. A valid driver's license is preferred.
