Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Supervisor will hold a leadership and technical position, with primary responsibilities encompassing:

• Direct Supervision: Overseeing teams of technicians and specialists involved in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of High Voltage (HV) systems and associated electrical equipment on-site.
• Safety Assurance: Ensuring strict adherence and implementation of the highest professional safety standards (such as NFPA, OSHA, and local Qatari regulations) in all high-voltage-related operations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Planning and Scheduling: Participating in planning both routine and emergency maintenance activities, preparing timelines, and allocating human resources and equipment to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Quality Control: Guaranteeing that all electrical work is executed in accordance with approved technical specifications, engineering drawings, and global industry best practices.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing complex faults in High Voltage systems (such as transformers, circuit breakers, and distribution networks) and proposing and implementing effective solutions.
• Training and Development: Training and mentoring less experienced technicians on correct procedures and safe work protocols for High Voltage systems.
• Documentation and Reporting: Preparing accurate technical reports on work progress, maintenance status, inspection results, and any safety incidents or deviations.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent advanced technical diploma with commensurate experience.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and supervision of High Voltage systems, preferably within industrial, oil, or gas environments.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of High Voltage systems (e.g., 11kV, 33kV), substation equipment, and protection and control systems (relays).
• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized certifications in high-voltage safety and operations (such as certified "High Voltage Authorized Person" training) is highly preferred.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a technical team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English for reading, writing, and technical communication. Knowledge of Arabic will be a distinct advantage.
• Mandatory Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid residency permit in Qatar (transferable sponsorship status is acceptable) or be ready to relocate to Qatar if selected.
