Job Description

Gulf Shipping Maritime Est is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HSE Coordinator to join their team in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental protection within the maritime shipping and logistics sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update HSE policies and procedures in line with international standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of workplaces, offices, and warehouses.
• Perform risk assessments and hazard analyses, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Organize safety training sessions and workshops for employees.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, analyze root causes, and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Prepare periodic HSE performance reports for senior management.
• Monitor the implementation of emergency procedures and ensure the readiness of fire and rescue equipment.
• Liaise with local regulatory authorities (e.g., Abu Dhabi Health Authority) to ensure full compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Recognized professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in the maritime or logistics sector.
• Strong knowledge of local and international maritime safety regulations (e.g., IMO conventions).
• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management systems.
