Job Description
AL Hanoo Building Contracting LLC, a prominent construction company based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP QA QC Engineer to join their project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems meet the highest quality standards and comply with project specifications and international codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans and procedures for MEP projects.
- Supervise and inspect all MEP installation works, including HVAC, electrical systems, fire protection, and plumbing, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality surveillance to identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Prepare detailed QA/QC reports, including daily inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action requests (CARs).
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Review material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Witness and document testing and commissioning activities, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Maintain accurate records of all quality-related documentation and ensure traceability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an MEP QA/QC Engineer in the building construction industry, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
- Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor are highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of international quality standards (ISO 9001, ASTM, ASHRAE, NFPA) and local building codes.
- Strong command of English language, both written and spoken (Arabic is a plus).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and quality management software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
