This position requires exceptional proficiency in English, Arabic, and Russian, along with a strong background in music and art. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing diverse library collections, providing multilingual reference services, and developing cultural and artistic programs that enhance the user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize library materials in English, Arabic, and Russian, including books, periodicals, and digital resources.
- Provide reference and research assistance to patrons, students, and researchers in multiple languages.
- Develop and implement cultural and artistic events, such as book fairs, music workshops, and art exhibitions.
- Catalog and classify new materials according to international standards (e.g., Dewey Decimal System).
- Collaborate with local and international cultural and artistic institutions to enrich library resources.
- Oversee music and art sections, acquiring audiovisual and visual materials.
- Train new staff on library systems and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Full fluency in English, Arabic, and Russian (reading, writing, speaking).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a librarian or in information management.
- Deep knowledge of music and art, including history, theory, and contemporary trends.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Library Management Systems (LMS) and electronic databases.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and digital research tools.
