Job Overview

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Regulatory Compliance Monitoring & Assessment: Review and assess company operations and activities to ensure compliance with laws and regulations in force in the State of Kuwait, including those issued by the Capital Markets Authority, the Central Bank of Kuwait, and other regulatory bodies.
- Compliance Policy Development & Implementation: Assist in drafting and updating internal compliance policies and procedures, and disseminating them to employees to ensure understanding and adherence.
- Advisory & Guidance: Serve as an advisory reference for management and staff on regulatory compliance matters, providing necessary interpretations and guidance.
- Reporting: Prepare periodic reports for company management on the status of compliance, any potential gaps or risks, and propose remedial action plans.
- Investigation of Violations: Conduct preliminary investigations into any reports or suspicions of violations of laws or internal policies, and document findings.
- Training & Awareness: Design and implement training and awareness programs for employees to promote a compliance culture and awareness of regulatory risks.
- Monitoring Legislative Developments: Track the latest updates and changes in relevant local and international laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the company's operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications in compliance (e.g., CAMS, ICA) are a strong advantage.
- Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in compliance, internal control, risk management, or internal auditing, preferably within the financial sector or major corporations in Kuwait.
- Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the regulatory framework and commercial laws in the State of Kuwait. A good understanding of international Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) standards.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- High integrity and strong ethical sense.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
