Job Overview

The Junior Engineer will work within a department specialized in Cathodic Protection, a vital technology used to control the corrosion of a metal surface (such as pipelines, tanks, and marine structures) by making it the cathode of an electrochemical cell. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing project requirements and customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Support senior engineers in preparing preliminary and detailed project cost calculations and estimates.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Participate in sourcing suitable cathodic protection materials and equipment and evaluating their suppliers.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team during engagements with potential and existing clients.
  • Assist in preparing drawings and supporting technical documentation for proposals.
  • Learn and train on the latest cathodic protection technologies and systems used in the market.
  • Maintain an organized database of proposals, costs, and projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates or those with up to 2-3 years of experience are welcome to apply.
  • Foundational understanding of engineering and chemical principles, with a strong interest in the corrosion control field.
  • Good analytical skills with an attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbers and calculations.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Ability to work within a team and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and engineering drawing software (like AutoCAD) is considered an added advantage.
