Job Description

As a Junior Urban Designer at Atkins Realis Group, you will be part of a specialized team working on designing and developing innovative and sustainable urban spaces. You will participate in diverse projects including urban planning, public space design, and land use master planning. You will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of senior designers and urban planners, helping you develop your technical and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing urban drawings and plans using specialized design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, GIS).
• Participate in site analysis and data collection regarding current land uses and infrastructure.
• Support the design team in preparing presentations and technical reports.
• Contribute to developing innovative urban design concepts that consider sustainability, social, and economic aspects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, transportation engineers, civil engineers) to ensure design integration.
• Attend site meetings and brainstorming sessions with clients and partners.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of practical experience in urban design (internship experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Basic knowledge of GIS and Revit is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a team and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with sustainable urban design standards and modern planning principles.
