We are seeking a distinguished finance professional to fill the role of Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis within the framework of the Tawteen program, which aims to empower national talent in the private sector of the Sultanate of Oman. Job Description
As the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be responsible for leading the budgeting, forecasting, and in-depth business performance analysis processes. You will work closely with senior management to provide financial insights that support strategic planning and the achievement of company goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly/monthly forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of financial data, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and cash flow analysis.
- Reporting: Prepare periodic financial reports for senior management, highlighting financial performance, key trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Strategic Decision Support: Provide financial recommendations to support investment decisions, evaluation of new projects, and expansion plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to understand and improve financial performance drivers.
- Process Improvement: Enhance and develop financial planning and analysis processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CFA, CPA) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with proven experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and extract actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance audiences.
- Personal Skills: Strong leadership skills, ability to work under pressure, and manage multiple priorities.
