Job Description

A prestigious management consulting firm (Client of Skc Management Consulting) is seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant to join their team in Oman. This is an excellent opportunity for finance and accounting professionals looking to work in a dynamic and growing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the accounting department in daily operations, including financial data entry, account reconciliations, and preparation of periodic financial reports. Tasks will also include assisting internal and external auditors, monitoring accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring accuracy of accounting records in accordance with approved accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily accounting entries in the financial system
  • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and customer accounts
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts
  • Monitor invoices and payments to ensure accuracy
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle)
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team and handle work pressure
  • Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
