Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Tech Lead will occupy a pivotal position between technical management and the development team. Their primary responsibilities will involve leading the technical aspect of projects from design through deployment and maintenance. They will work closely with the product manager and stakeholders to translate business requirements into viable and efficient technical solutions.

Core expected responsibilities include:

• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guiding a team of developers, ensuring adherence to coding best practices, conducting code reviews, and maintaining high product quality.
• Architectural Design & Development: Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance technical infrastructures using PHP and Laravel. They will ensure technical solutions align with the product's long-term goals.
• Agile Product Lifecycle Management: Working within a Scrum or Kanban framework, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews. They will be responsible for technical effort estimations and helping the team adhere to timelines.
• Quality & Performance Assurance: Establishing and implementing testing strategies, including automated testing, to ensure robust applications. Monitoring and optimizing application performance in production environments.
• Communication & Collaboration: Acting as a technical liaison between the development team and other departments such as product management, design, and QA. The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders is crucial.
• Research & Development: Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development and the PHP/Laravel ecosystem, evaluating their suitability for current and future projects.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

Technical Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience of over 5 years in web development with PHP.
• Deep and extensive experience (typically 3+ years) working with the Laravel framework and comprehensive knowledge of its features and advanced capabilities.
• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), including their design and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles like SOLID, Design Patterns, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience in building RESTful APIs and third-party system integrations.
• Practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum project frameworks.
• Experience with version control systems, primarily Git.
• Knowledge of fundamental DevOps concepts (e.g., CI/CD, Docker) is a strong plus.

Soft Skills & Leadership:

• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role (e.g., Tech Lead, Team Lead, Senior Developer) for at least two years.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English.
