Job Description

The appointed Physics Teacher will undertake a range of key duties and responsibilities designed to foster scientific understanding and inspire students. The focus will be on delivering a comprehensive and engaging physics curriculum that meets high educational standards.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physics or in Education with a specialization in Physics. A Master's degree in Physics or Education is a strong advantage.
  • A valid and recognized teaching certification/license.

Experience:

  • Proven practical experience teaching Physics at the high school level (preferably with at least 3 years of experience).
  • Experience working with international curricula (such as IB, IGCSE, or A-Levels) is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to manage and conduct scientific laboratory experiments safely and effectively.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Deep and systematic knowledge of physics principles and curricula.
  • Excellent communication and pedagogical skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Ability to inspire students and foster a passion for science and physics.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, as it is the primary language of instruction in many educational institutions in Bahrain. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
