Job Description and Responsibilities
The Purchase Executive will be responsible for a range of core tasks and duties that contribute to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's purchasing operations. The role is expected to play a fundamental part in supporting operational departments by securing their needs for materials and services with the best specifications and highest quality standards, while maintaining costs within defined budgets.
Key expected responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end procurement process, from receiving Purchase Requests (PRs) from various departments to the receipt of goods and verification of specification compliance.
- Sourcing new suppliers and contractors, evaluating them, and negotiating prices and contractual terms to achieve the best value for the organization.
- Preparing Purchase Orders (POs) and following up on their execution with suppliers to ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Maintaining an updated and comprehensive supplier database and periodically evaluating their performance.
- Working on improving and developing procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Collaborating closely with warehouse, finance, and project departments to ensure operational smoothness.
- Preparing periodic reports on procurement activities and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management.
Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or any related field.
- Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in procurement or supply chain, preferably in an industrial or contracting company environment.
- Full proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Knowledge of Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and computer software such as Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- High integrity and professionalism at work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS).
- Previous experience in the Saudi or Gulf market and knowledge of local regulations.
- Strong understanding of logistics practices and import procedures.
