Job Overview

The appointed Project Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, executing, and closing construction projects undertaken by the company. Your core focus will be to ensure project completion on time, within the approved budget, and to the required quality standards that meet or exceed client expectations. Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Comprehensive Project Planning: Develop a detailed project plan encompassing scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management.
  • Team Leadership: Form and lead a multidisciplinary project team (engineers, supervisors, subcontractors), delegate tasks, and motivate members to achieve objectives.
  • Budget and Financial Management: Prepare the initial budget and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensure adherence to financial allocations, and prepare periodic financial reports.
  • Schedule Monitoring: Utilize project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) to track progress, identify any delays, and take corrective actions to address them.
  • Quality and Safety Assurance: Implement and enforce the highest quality and safety standards on-site, ensuring compliance with local regulations and relevant UAE laws.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with the client, consultants, suppliers, and senior company management. Provide regular status reports on the project.
  • Contract and Procurement Management: Oversee the subcontractor and supplier procurement process, review contracts, and ensure terms are fulfilled.
  • Problem-Solving: Effectively handle unexpected challenges and obstacles that arise during execution phases.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Academic Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Certification: Preference for Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering major projects. Experience in the UAE or GCC market is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in project management tools and software (MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD). In-depth knowledge of construction standards and local regulations in Dubai.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent team leadership and motivational abilities.
    • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills (Arabic and English).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving decision-making skills.
    • Discipline and precision in time and resource management.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
