Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Project Manager will be responsible for leading an integrated team and overseeing the execution of medium to large-scale building projects. Key responsibilities will include:

• Comprehensive Leadership and Planning: Leading the project team including engineers, contractors, and suppliers. Developing detailed project plans encompassing schedule, budget, and workforce resources, and ensuring adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
• Budget and Cost Management: Preparing initial project budgets and meticulously monitoring expenditures. Taking immediate corrective action to control costs and prevent overruns against the allocated budget.
• Schedule Control: Developing and managing precise project timelines. Coordinating all activities and ensuring each phase is completed on schedule, while effectively handling any unforeseen delays or obstacles.
• Quality and Safety Assurance: Implementing and enforcing the highest quality standards across all construction activities. Ensuring full compliance with all local and international safety regulations on the worksite, fostering a safe working environment for all.
• Stakeholder Management and Communication: Acting as the primary liaison between all stakeholders, including the client, consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities. Providing regular, clear reports on project progress, risks, and financial performance.
• Risk Management and Problem-Solving: Proactively identifying potential project risks early and developing mitigation plans. Addressing any technical or logistical issues that arise in an effective and timely manner.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or advanced professional certifications (e.g., PMP) is a strong advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 7 to 10 years of practical experience in construction project management, with a demonstrated history of successfully managing and delivering integrated building projects. Experience in the Omani or GCC market is a significant plus.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of construction phases, building materials, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems. Strong proficiency in project management software like MS Project and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
