Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and guiding the Quality Assurance team at the industrial facility, with a particular focus on applying and enforcing the highest standards of industrial hygiene and sanitation within production lines and factory premises. This role is pivotal in ensuring all processes comply with local and international specifications, safeguarding the brand's reputation, and ensuring the final product's safety for the consumer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Supervision: Lead the QA team, delegate tasks, and provide technical guidance and training to team members to ensure understanding and implementation of quality and hygiene programs.
• Quality Control: Oversee sampling processes and periodic quality testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Industrial Hygiene: Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive sanitation programs for equipment and the work environment, including Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and Cleaning-out-of-Place (COP) systems.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure factory compliance with all local regulatory requirements (e.g., Kuwait Standards and Metrology Authority) and international standards (e.g., ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP).
• Inspection & Auditing: Conduct regular, thorough inspections of production and storage facilities to identify any potential quality or hygiene risks and propose corrective solutions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all monitoring, testing, and corrective actions. Prepare periodic reports on quality and hygiene performance for senior management.
• Problem Solving: Investigate non-conformities or quality-related complaints, identify root causes, and lead the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or any related field relevant to the food industry.
• Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of practical experience in Quality Assurance within the food or beverage manufacturing industry, with proven expertise in industrial hygiene/sanitation. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is a significant advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of food safety management systems such as HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO 22000 standards.
• Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a team, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Language: Proficiency in English for handling technical documentation and international standards. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
