Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will occupy a pivotal role within the strategic projects undertaken by the firm, focusing on the development and implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) solutions. The core responsibilities for this position include:

• Providing specialized consultancy on the planning, design, and implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for major road and transport infrastructure projects in Qatar.
• Working closely with the design team, engineers, and project managers to integrate ITS solutions into various project phases, from initial planning through to delivery.
• Analyzing system requirements and developing technical specifications for ITS components, which may include traffic management systems, traveler information systems, surveillance and control systems, and electronic toll collection systems.
• Evaluating and advising on the latest global technologies and trends in smart mobility to ensure projects remain at the forefront of innovation.
• Preparing technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with local and international standards and best practices in all proposed ITS solutions.
• Contributing to the development of project proposals within the field of expertise.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Computer, Transportation) or a related field. A Master's degree in Transport Engineering or Intelligent Systems is a strong advantage.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience in planning, designing, or managing Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) projects. Experience must include work on major infrastructure projects.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ITS components, systems, communication protocols, and design standards (e.g., NTCIP, ISO). Experience using transport modeling and analysis software is required.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized professional certifications in ITS or project management (e.g., PMP) is highly preferred.
• Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English. The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex challenges.
