Regional Manager at Sika - Saudi Arabia

Sika, the global leader in specialty chemicals and building materials, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Manager to join its operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a pivotal leadership role offering the opportunity to drive business growth within one of the world's most dynamic construction and development markets while being part of an established company with a powerful global footprint.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Regional Manager will be responsible for leading and developing Sika's business in a designated territory or sector within the Saudi market. The focus will be on executing the commercial strategy and ensuring sales and profit targets are met. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement annual and long-term business plans for the region, aligning with Sika's overall strategic objectives for the Middle East.
  • Team Leadership: Directly supervise the regional sales, marketing, and technical teams, including recruitment, training, development, and motivation of individuals to achieve their full potential.
  • Business & Sales Development: Lead market development efforts, identify new business opportunities, and strengthen relationships with key customers (contractors, developers, consultants, distributors). Direct accountability for achieving revenue and market share targets.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze market and sales performance, prepare regular reports for senior management, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to the highest standards of quality and customer service synonymous with Sika, and oversee logistical and distribution operations within the region.
  • Budget & Profitability: Responsibility for the region's operational budget, cost control, and ensuring profitability targets are met.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this senior leadership position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical) or Business Administration or a related field. An MBA will be a distinct advantage.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Area Manager, Key Accounts Sales Manager). Experience in the construction materials, specialty chemicals, or industrial products industry is a prerequisite.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams to achieve ambitious goals. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the construction and real estate development market in Saudi Arabia. An existing professional network will be a significant advantage.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data and market performance to make data-driven decisions.
  • Language: Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Arabic is essential.
