Job Description
As a Rigging Foreman, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing all rigging and lifting operations at various project sites. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising the rigging team and ensuring safe and efficient lifting operations.
- Planning and executing heavy lifting operations using cranes and heavy equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
- Inspecting rigging equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Preparing daily reports on work progress and reporting any issues or malfunctions.
- Coordinating with engineers and other supervisors to ensure project timelines are met.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in rigging supervision and heavy lifting.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and safe work practices.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Ability to work under pressure in diverse work environments.
- Certified rigging credentials (e.g., NCCCO or equivalent) are a plus.
