Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The Sales Associate will be an integral part of the frontline team at the pharmacy, playing a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving sales performance. The primary responsibilities for this role typically include:
- Customer Service & Consultation: Greeting customers warmly, understanding their needs accurately, and providing appropriate advice on available health products, personal care items, and nutritional supplements.
- Achieving Sales Targets: Contributing effectively to meeting the branch's daily and weekly sales objectives through persuasive communication and upselling techniques.
- Product Knowledge: Developing a deep understanding of the pharmacy's extensive product range, including over-the-counter (OTC) medications, skincare, baby care essentials, and more.
- Cashiering & Transactions: Accurately processing sales transactions at the point-of-sale (POS) system, generating invoices, and handling cash and card payments.
- Merchandising & Stock Management: Assisting in arranging displays and organizing shelves to ensure an attractive and tidy presentation of products. Reporting low stock levels to supervisors.
- Compliance: Ensuring full adherence to hygiene standards, quality protocols, and all company policies and procedures set by Life Pharmacy.
Qualifications & Essential Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this opportunity, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A high school diploma (Secondary School Certificate) as a minimum. Preference will be given to candidates with certificates or diplomas in fields such as sales, business administration, or pharmacy assisting.
- Experience: Previous experience in sales or customer service roles is advantageous, preferably within the retail, pharmacy, or healthcare sector. Highly motivated fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn may also be considered.
- Personal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- A friendly, courteous, and personable demeanor with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Flexibility to work during various shifts, which may include weekends.
