Job Description
The Security System Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of cybersecurity infrastructure and physical security systems within the company's projects. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the engineer will ensure all systems adhere to the highest security and protection standards, with a particular focus on industrial and critical operational environments.
Key expected responsibilities include:
- Designing and planning cybersecurity systems (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, identity and access management) and physical security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control).

- Conducting regular system vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure infrastructure robustness.
- Monitoring the performance of security systems and responding to security and safety incidents and threats.
- Developing and updating cybersecurity policies, procedures, and business continuity plans.
- Working closely with engineering and operations teams to integrate security-by-design principles into new projects.
- Providing technical support and training to end-users and relevant technical teams.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant local and international regulations concerning industrial and information security.
Requirements and Qualifications

Academic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Recognized professional certifications are a significant advantage (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific certifications from leaders like Cisco CCNA Security, Palo Alto).
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or security systems.
- Previous experience in the energy (oil & gas), manufacturing, or industrial sectors is a strong competitive advantage.
- Deep understanding of networking technologies, security protocols, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Experience working with security solutions from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Splunk).
