Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and preparing periodic reports. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Preparing monthly and annual journal entries.
- Reviewing bank reconciliations and balance sheet accounts.
- Contributing to the preparation of financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Supporting internal and external audit processes.
- Analyzing financial data and providing recommendations for financial performance improvement.
- Supervising junior accounting staff if applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
