Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be placed at the heart of a critical IT operations center, tasked with managing, maintaining, and securing the organization's Microsoft 365 Exchange Online environment and any associated hybrid or on-premises components. Core responsibilities will include:

• Administration & Operations: Managing and maintaining email services (Exchange Online) within the Microsoft 365 suite, including mailboxes, distribution groups, and access permissions.
• Security & Compliance: Implementing and enforcing security best practices to protect data and mitigate threats such as phishing and malware. Managing security and compliance policies related to email.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to mail flow, integration, and user productivity effectively and within appropriate SLAs.
• Planning & Migration: Contributing to the planning, migration, and upgrade of Exchange environments, ensuring minimal downtime during maintenance or upgrade windows.
• User Support & Documentation: Providing Level-3 technical support to the IT team and end-users. Documenting procedures, architectures, and creating guides for users or team reference as needed.
• Monitoring & Performance: Proactively monitoring system performance, analyzing reports, and proposing optimizations to ensure high availability and performance service levels.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered a suitable candidate for this critical role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Proven Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in administering and maintaining Microsoft Exchange systems, with a strong recent focus on Microsoft 365 Exchange Online.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, Azure AD services, and related security tools (such as Defender for Office 365). Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and complex administrative tasks.
