Job Overview
The Senior Officer will play a central role in overseeing daily catering and provisioning operations, ensuring strict adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating services delivered to clients, whether at project sites or fixed facilities serviced by the company.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Directly supervise on-site catering teams and distribute daily tasks.
- Ensure food preparation and service operations are carried out in compliance with local and international hygiene and food safety standards.
- Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse departments to secure high-quality food and non-food supplies in a timely manner.
- Conduct periodic quality checks of meals and services, proposing continuous improvements.
- Manage on-site client relationships, responding to their requirements and feedback.
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance, inventory levels, and costs.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable health regulations and labor laws in the Sultanate of Oman.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of catering department policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Equivalent extensive practical experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in catering services, restaurant management, or hospitality, with proven experience in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety principles (HACCP) and hygiene practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and during peak times.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English.
- Good working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office suite).
- Flexibility to work according to a schedule that may include weekends or shifting hours based on project demands.
