Senior Sales Engineer - Gerab National Enterprises

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Senior Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role within the technical sales team, acting as the vital bridge between the company's engineering capabilities and clients' strategic needs. The core responsibilities for this position include:

  • Technical Sales Support: Providing specialized technical support throughout the entire sales cycle, from product introduction to negotiation and closing deals with potential and existing clients.
  • Needs Analysis & Solution Crafting: Understanding complex client requirements (who may be from construction, energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors) and designing/presenting customized technical proposals and engineering solutions that precisely address those needs.
  • Proposal & Presentation Development: Preparing and delivering compelling Technical Proposals, Presentations, and Product Demonstrations that highlight the value and benefits of the company's technical solutions.
  • Customer Training & Support: Providing post-sale technical training and consultancy to clients to ensure optimal use of the provided products or systems.
  • Internal Coordination: Working closely with internal engineering, development, and project execution teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with company capabilities.
  • Market Awareness: Staying abreast of the latest technological developments and market trends relevant to the company's field, and translating this knowledge to benefit offer development and enhancement.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or a related engineering field) from an accredited university. A Master's degree in Business Administration or a technical field would be an added advantage.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role as a Sales Engineer or Applications Engineer, preferably within an environment providing technical or engineering solutions to industrial or commercial sectors. Experience in the Qatari or Gulf market is a significant plus.
  • Technical Skills: A strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to grasp complex technical products and explain them clearly and persuasively to non-technical clients.
  • Sales & Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Proven ability in persuasion, relationship management, and high-level negotiation.
  • Personal Attributes: A proactive, self-motivated personality with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. The candidate must be results-oriented and able to work under pressure.
