Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Service Desk Analyst will serve as the first point of contact for internal or external users experiencing technical issues or requiring assistance with systems, applications, and networks. The core responsibilities for this position are likely to include:

  • Receiving and logging support requests and reported issues via phone, email, or a ticketing system.
  • Performing initial diagnosis, troubleshooting, and prioritization of technical problems, escalating them to specialized teams when necessary.
  • Providing fundamental technical support to resolve common issues related to operating systems (e.g., Windows), Microsoft Office applications, printers, peripherals, and network access.
  • Tracking the progress of support requests and ensuring users are updated regularly until resolution.
  • Documenting solutions and procedures in a Knowledge Base to improve future support efficiency.
  • Adhering to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely response and problem resolution.
  • Assisting with the setup and configuration of laptops and desktops for new employees.
  • Working collaboratively with other IT teams such as Networking, Cybersecurity, and Systems teams.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • A university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven work experience of at least 1-3 years in a similar role as a Service Desk Analyst or Technical Support Representative.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental IT concepts, operating systems, and networking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and simple manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of IT service management ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, or Zendesk) is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL Foundation are a significant advantage.
