Job Overview and Description

The Site Engineer will be stationed at the project site, responsible for the direct supervision of daily construction and engineering operations. This role serves as the vital link between design and on-ground execution, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with approved specifications and drawings.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supervision of Execution: Directly oversee all construction activities on-site to ensure they are carried out according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and set work schedules.
  • Quality and Safety Control: Implement quality control programs and inspect materials and workmanship. Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and policies on the work site to prevent accidents.
  • Coordination and Reporting: Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and engineers from other disciplines (MEP, Architectural). Prepare daily and weekly reports on work progress, challenges, and material consumption.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical and execution issues that may arise on-site, in consultation with senior engineers and the project manager.
  • Document Review: Review shop drawings, construction drawings, and structural schematics before and during the construction process.
  • Quantity Management: Assist in quantity surveying and verification of contractors' payment requests based on work completed.

Required Qualifications and Experience

KEO is looking for candidates with practical experience and professional dedication. Key requirements include:

Educational Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Additional professional certifications (e.g., PMP, membership in a recognized engineering body) may be an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a Site Engineer or similar role on major construction and development projects.
  • Previous experience working with international engineering consultancies or major contractors is a significant advantage.
  • Practical knowledge of construction systems and standard specifications in the Saudi market.

Personal and Technical Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multicultural, multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Physical fitness to work on a construction site and in various weather conditions.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is essential. Knowledge of Arabic will be a strong added advantage.
