Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Site Supervisor will be stationed at the project site and will be directly responsible for the daily supervision of all operational activities. The core responsibilities of this vital role include:

• Field Supervision: Directly leading and supervising work crews, technicians, and subcontractors on-site to ensure work is carried out according to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Planning & Scheduling: Contributing to the planning of daily and weekly project schedules, and efficiently allocating human resources and equipment to meet set targets within the approved timeframe and budget.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensuring all engineering and construction work is executed per approved technical specifications and designs, reviewing engineering plans, and reporting any discrepancies or non-conforming work.
• Safety First: Strictly enforcing and implementing all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols and procedures on-site, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring all personnel comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Coordination & Communication: Acting as a central liaison between project management in the office and contractors/suppliers on-site. Preparing detailed daily and weekly reports on work progress, challenges, material consumption, and equipment status.
• Problem-Solving: Effectively addressing any obstacles, technical, or logistical issues that arise during execution, proposing practical solutions, and implementing them in coordination with responsible engineers.
• Cost Monitoring: Assisting in monitoring material consumption and labor hours to prevent waste and ensure adherence to the project's allocated budget.

Qualifications and Core Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or a high-level technical diploma in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in supervising engineering or construction project sites, with preference given to those with experience in infrastructure or major commercial projects.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of engineering methods, materials, and systems, with the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse work teams, manage performance, and foster a productive and safe work environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local building codes and regulations applicable in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.
• Professional Certifications: Professional certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or project management will be a strong added advantage.
