Job Overview
The Soft Services Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, supervision, and development of all "soft" facilities services within the Qiddiya project scope. Soft services differ from "hard" services (like electrical and HVAC) as they focus on aspects that directly touch the user experience and environment, making this position central to ensuring visitor and staff satisfaction and creating a lasting impression of quality and excellence.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Leadership & Strategic Planning: Lead soft services teams and develop comprehensive operational strategies and plans aligned with Qiddiya's vision as a premier global destination.
- Performance & Quality Management: Establish and implement precise performance standards for all soft services, ensuring compliance with the highest benchmarks of quality, safety, and cleanliness.
- Oversight of Service Scope: Direct management or coordination with contractors for services including, but not limited to:
- Cleaning and sanitization services.
- Waste management and recycling.
- Horticulture and external landscaping services.
- Guest services and reception (within facilities scope).
- Internal security services (coordination with security management).
- Laundry and linen services management (where applicable).
- Budget & Resource Management: Prepare operational budgets for the department, control costs, and ensure optimal utilization of human and material resources.
- Development & Training: Identify training needs for the soft services team and implement development programs to enhance skills and improve efficiency.
- Stakeholder Relationship: Work closely with other project departments (Operations, Hospitality, Maintenance) and contractors to ensure seamless service integration.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree may be an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in facilities management or soft services, with a proven track record in leadership roles for at least 5 years. Experience in major hospitality projects, shopping malls, entertainment cities, or mixed-use developments is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of international best practices and standards in soft services management (e.g., BICSc, ISSA). High proficiency in using Facilities Management software (CAFM) and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Language: Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English. Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
