Job Overview

The Specialist will be placed within the Issuer & IPO Services department, a critical unit that supports the bank's investment banking activities, particularly those related to Initial Public Offering (IPO) processes and managing relationships with equity and debt issuers. This department acts as a vital link between the bank and its corporate clients, ensuring high-quality and efficient post-listing services.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for a range of precise operational and service-oriented tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Supporting IPO Processes: Assisting with the operational and procedural aspects during various stages of public offerings, coordinating with internal teams (e.g., Treasury, Compliance, Operations) and external parties (e.g., Securities and Commodities Authority, Depository Center).
  • Managing Issuer Services: Providing ongoing administrative and service support to companies listed on the stock exchange for which the bank acts as an appointed bank, including handling their requests and inquiries.
  • Processing Data and Transactions: Ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of processing data related to shareholder rights, dividend distributions, capital increases, and other corporate actions.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensuring all operations comply with relevant local (SCA) and international regulations and preparing required periodic reports.
  • Client Servicing: Delivering an exceptional level of customer service to issuer companies, responding to their inquiries professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Contributing to Process Development: Participating in initiatives to improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Academic Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics. Additional professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CFA) are a plus.
  • Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of practical experience in the financial services sector, preferably within an issuer services, treasury, or operations department of a major investment bank or financial institution. Experience dealing with the UAE's Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and the Depository Center will be highly valued.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Knowledge of trading and depository systems (e.g., Securities Depository System) is a significant advantage.
  • Personal Skills: High analytical ability, attention to detail, and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to work under pressure and meet challenges while maintaining high standards of professional integrity and teamwork.
