Job Overview
The Strategic Planning Department Manager will occupy a central role within the company's management structure. As the primary authority, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and implementing the strategies that dictate the firm's growth and operational efficiency in the vital Saudi market. You will work closely with senior management and various project departments to ensure all operations are aligned with Hill International's overarching strategic goals and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the process of developing, implementing, and reviewing the company's short, medium, and long-term strategic plans.
- Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis within Saudi Arabia's construction, engineering, and infrastructure sectors.
- Identify new growth opportunities and potential risks, proposing proactive action plans.
- Develop and model Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure strategy effectiveness and project progress.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on strategic directions and recommendations.
- Supervise, guide, and develop the skills of the strategic planning team.
- Ensure integration between strategic planning, financial planning, and resource planning.
- Monitor global and regional trends in the project management sector and provide recommendations for adaptation.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration (specialization in Strategic Planning or equivalent). A Master’s degree (MBA or similar) will be a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic planning or business development, with a strong focus on the construction, engineering, or project management sector.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in a leadership role (Manager level or above) supervising teams and work units.
- Deep knowledge of the Saudi Arabian business environment, Saudi Vision 2030 goals, and major infrastructure projects.
- Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and influencing skills for executive-level decision-makers.
- Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic will be a strong additional advantage.
