Job Description

The Team Leader will play a pivotal role in managing and developing the Business Banking team at Markai. You will be directly responsible for steering the team's efforts towards achieving strategic and financial targets while ensuring exceptional service delivery to small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients. You will work closely with senior management to translate broader business goals into actionable plans for your team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Supervision: Guide, coach, and develop members of the Business Banking team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Performance Management: Set clear performance objectives for the team and individual members, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback and evaluations.
• Portfolio Growth: Lead initiatives to acquire new business clients, focusing on growing the loan, deposit, and other banking service portfolios.
• Customer Service: Ensure the delivery of comprehensive and high-quality banking solutions to clients, effectively handling complex inquiries and complaints.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure all team activities adhere to internal bank policies and regulatory requirements set by UAE governing bodies.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare periodic reports on team performance, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide recommendations for process improvement and revenue enhancement.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you should meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Banker) will be a strong advantage.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in the banking sector, with a proven focus on Business Banking or Corporate Banking.
• At least 2 to 3 years of hands-on leadership experience managing a sales or customer service team within a banking environment.
• In-depth understanding of banking products and services offered to corporate clients (loans, credit facilities, treasury, etc.).
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable banking regulations and compliance standards in the United Arab Emirates.
