The applicant must hold a valid BiH passport.
At the time of application, the candidate must be enrolled in a good standing PhD program in the intended field of study.
The applicant must be enrolled in a good standing accredited master's program in the intended field of study.
The applicant must have completed a master's degree in the intended field of study and have sufficient English language ability.
Applicants must be eligible to receive and maintain the exchange visitor J-1 non-immigrant visa required for the program.
All applicants, even those who want to pursue a career outside of academia, are encouraged to apply.
Applicants with little to no prior experience, either domestically or abroad, are eligible.
Applicants who have not previously obtained a Fulbright student grant or who have not had significant recent experience in the United States are given precedence.
