Job Description

The newly hired Accountant will be integrated into the company's finance team, responsible for a range of crucial accounting and financial tasks to ensure accurate and efficient operational flow. Operating within the automotive sector, a good understanding of the financial transactions and inventory specifics of this industry will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities and Expected Duties:

• Preparing and managing daily accounts, including sales and purchase invoices, and expense records.
• Recording all financial transactions in the accounting ledgers accurately and in a timely manner.
• Performing periodic bank reconciliations and ensuring statements match company records.
• Assisting in the preparation of periodic financial reports (monthly/quarterly/annual).
• Monitoring accounts receivable and payable, and following up on collection of dues.
• Managing supplier invoices and ensuring payments are made within agreed timeframes.
• Contributing to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies and applicable local standards in the UAE.
• Collaborating with other departments (e.g., sales, inventory) to ensure financial data accuracy.
• Assisting in preparing documentation required for external audits.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

TARGET LINE AUTO WORKS is looking for candidates with practical experience, technical skills, and personal attributes suited to a fast-paced industry environment.

Academic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A recognized professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) will be a strong added advantage.

Work Experience:

• Proven practical experience of at least 3 years in the accounting field.
• Previous experience in the automotive, trading, or services sector within the UAE is a significant advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable tax laws (e.g., VAT) and financial regulations in the United Arab Emirates.

Technical and Personal Skills:

• Excellent proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Integrity and strict confidentiality in handling sensitive financial data.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required. Knowledge of Arabic will be an additional advantage.
