Job Description

The BIM Coordinator will play a pivotal role within the project team, responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across various project stages. The incumbent will work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and consistency in all digital models and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEP) for ongoing projects.
• Coordinate and generate 3D and multi-dimensional (4D, 5D) models using software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Manage databases and information linked to BIM models, ensuring they are consistently updated.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination meetings (MEP, Structural, Architectural) to resolve design clashes.
• Train and support team members on company-adopted BIM protocols and standards.
• Ensure compliance with required quality standards and specifications in all BIM deliverables.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations related to project modeling status for management and clients.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this critical role, you must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any field related to construction technology.
• Professional certifications in BIM management/coordination (e.g., from the Chartered Institute of Building or equivalent) will be a strong advantage.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical experience in a similar role (BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager) within a major construction project environment.
• Proven experience working on infrastructure, commercial, or residential projects in the Middle East, preferably within the United Arab Emirates.
• In-depth understanding of international BIM standards (ISO 19650) and prevalent local market practices.

Technical and Personal Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD. Knowledge of BIM 360 or similar project management platforms is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
• Analytical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
