Job Description

The Ducting Charge Hand will be assigned to the field operations team and will be directly responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of ducting systems across the company's various projects. This role will focus on ensuring work is executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and required technical specifications.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise the team of ducting installation technicians on the project site.
• Read and follow engineering drawings and blueprints for ducting systems.
• Ensure all cutting, bending, installation, and fixing of ductwork is performed accurately and to specification.
• Monitor the quality of materials and tools used on-site.
• Ensure strict adherence to all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures in the workplace.
• Coordinate work with other supervisors and engineers to ensure workflow aligns with the planned schedule.
• Report daily progress, challenges, or obstacles faced by the team.
• Assist in training and guiding less experienced technicians within the team.
• Perform any other technical or supervisory tasks as assigned by the direct line manager.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in the installation and maintenance of ducting systems for large-scale construction projects.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role (e.g., Team Leader, Foreman) is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of ductwork standards and specifications for HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety procedures (knowledge of UAE safety regulations is an added advantage).
• Leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Strong communication skills, with a basic command of the English language (speaking and understanding). Knowledge of Arabic will be an additional advantage.
• Physical fitness to work on construction sites and sometimes under challenging conditions.
• Possession of recognized professional certifications in safety or ductwork (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) will be a significant competitive advantage.
