Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading field sales efforts and building strong business relationships to expand the company's market share. Key responsibilities include:
- Client Base Development: Proactively seeking new clients (retailers, specialty stores, institutional buyers) within the apparel and home textiles sectors across Bahrain.
- Existing Account Management: Conducting regular visits to current clients to ensure satisfaction, present new products, secure repeat orders, and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Sales Target Achievement: Working towards meeting and exceeding assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets set by management.
- Product Presentation: Delivering compelling and regular presentations of the company's product portfolio, which includes apparel (garments) and home textiles (linens, curtains, towels, etc.).
- Reporting: Preparing detailed daily and weekly sales reports on field visits, potential leads, client stock levels, and providing feedback on market reception.
- Professional Representation: Representing AWS DISTRIBUTION with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity, maintaining a positive brand image in the marketplace.
- Market Intelligence: Monitoring local market trends, competitor activities, and identifying potential opportunities or threats.
Requirements & Qualifications
To qualify for this opportunity, you should meet the following criteria:
- Experience: Proven work experience of at least 2-3 years in outdoor sales or field sales. Previous experience in the apparel, textiles, wholesale goods, or distribution sector is highly preferred.
- Market Knowledge: Good understanding of the retail and distribution market in the Kingdom of Bahrain. An existing professional network (contacts) is a strong advantage.
- Personal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Self-starter with initiative, and the ability to work independently with a high degree of self-discipline.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Ability to build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Word) and basic Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Driving License: The applicant must possess a valid driving license, as the role requires extensive travel within Manama and potentially other areas in Bahrain.
