Job Description

The Senior Network Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of the company's network infrastructure. The core responsibilities will be comprehensive and require a high level of technical expertise and leadership.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Design & Implementation: Contribute to the design, planning, and implementation of the company's current and future network architecture to ensure it meets evolving business needs.
• Oversight & Maintenance: Oversee the daily operations of the network, perform routine maintenance, and ensure service continuity with minimal downtime.
• Performance & Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance, identify potential bottlenecks and issues, and take proactive and corrective measures. Implement and maintain network security policies to protect data and assets from threats.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network-related issues promptly and effectively, documenting solutions for future reference.
• Upgrades & Development: Evaluate, test, and upgrade network hardware and software components (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
• Support & Documentation: Provide technical support to the IT team and end-users regarding network issues. Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Leadership & Mentoring: The role may involve mentoring and guiding less experienced IT team members.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Work Experience: Proven hands-on experience of at least 5 to 7 years in network administration, with a significant portion in a senior or lead network administrator role.
• Professional Certifications: Internationally recognized certifications are highly preferred, such as:
  • CCNA/CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional)
  • JNCIA/JNCIS (Juniper Networks Certified Associate/Specialist)
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Relevant network security certifications (e.g., Security+)
• Required Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and routing (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs).
  • Strong practical experience in managing and configuring Cisco and/or Juniper devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application to network infrastructure.
• Personal Skills:

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle technical emergencies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
